Chief Financial Officer
Own the financial engine of a growing multi-brand group: reporting, cash, pricing discipline and the structure that lets us scale without losing control.
About the role
We are a group rather than a single company, spanning software delivery, product and adjacent brands, with real revenue and real complexity. This role is for someone who wants to build the finance function properly rather than inherit one: choosing what gets measured, making pricing defensible, and turning a set of businesses into a group with clear numbers. Open to full-time or a serious fractional arrangement for the right person.
The mission
Give the group financial clarity good enough to make confident decisions with, and the discipline to grow profitably.
What you will own
- Own group reporting: management accounts, cash position and the handful of numbers that actually drive decisions.
- Build the pricing and margin discipline. Our work is quoted fixed, so margin is made or lost at the quote.
- Own cash: collections, ageing, and the working-capital rhythm of project businesses.
- Statutory and compliance across the group entities, working with our corporate secretary and auditors.
- Bring structure to multi-entity reporting so the group reads as one picture.
- Advise on grants, funding and the financial side of new business lines.
- Put controls in place that are proportionate: enough to be safe, not so much that we slow down.
What we are looking for
- Qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally in Singapore.
- You have owned group or multi-entity reporting before.
- Strong on cash and working capital in a project or services business.
- Comfortable being hands-on. This is a build, not an inherited department.
- You can explain a number to a non-finance founder and be understood.
Nice to have, not required
- Experience in agencies, software or professional services.
- Familiarity with Singapore grants such as EDG, and with statutory filing cycles.
- You have built a finance function from an early stage before.
- Comfortable with systems: we would rather automate a reconciliation than staff it.
What good looks like in your first 90 days
- Month 1: you can tell us the true cash and margin position of the group.
- Month 2: reporting runs on a rhythm and pricing decisions have a defensible basis.
- Month 3: the controls and the calendar are in place, and nothing statutory is a surprise.
Where this role goes
Own the finance function as the group grows, with a genuine seat in how the business is shaped. Equity is on the table for the right person.
