TheOneClub - Professional Networking Platform

The ONE Club is a Singapore-based professional networking club for founders, entrepreneurs, and business owners. What began as informal gatherings grew into a regular membership community built around in-person events and a signature format where members introduce their business to the room. As the club grew, running it on chat groups, spreadsheets, and manual sign-ups no longer fit the size of the membership or the cadence of events.
A growing networking organisation faces the same recurring problems: keeping an accurate, up-to-date directory of who is actually a member; screening and approving new applicants so the room stays curated; promoting events and collecting registrations without losing track of who is coming; welcoming new members consistently instead of one message at a time; and understanding which channels and which existing members are actually bringing new people in. Each of these had been handled by hand, which meant time lost to admin and a member experience that depended on someone remembering to follow up.
How we helped
We built The ONE Club a custom membership platform: a public website where prospective members learn about the club and apply to join, paired with a private admin back-end for the team to run everything day to day. New applications come in through an online join form and land in an approval queue, so the team approves or holds each one before they become an active member. Every member record holds their details and membership type (such as Regular or Entrepreneur), and the team can add, edit, activate, or deactivate members and send a polished welcome email automatically. The platform also runs the club's events end to end - each event gets its own page with description, photos, FAQs, and a registration link - and tracks member referrals and campaign sign-ups so the team can see who and what is driving growth.
What other businesses can take from this:
- Put your member or customer list in one managed system, not scattered chats and spreadsheets. A single source of truth for who's active, pending, or lapsed removes the guesswork and the manual cross-checking.
- Gate sign-ups with an approval step when quality of the community matters. An application-and-approval flow lets you stay curated and selective as you scale, instead of accepting everyone by default.
- Automate the repetitive touches. Welcome emails and password resets that fire automatically give every new member the same warm, consistent start without anyone having to remember to send them.
- Run events from the same place you manage members. Event pages, registrations, and the member directory living in one back-end means less duplicate data entry and a clearer view of who is engaged.
- Measure where your growth actually comes from. Built-in referral and sign-up tracking shows which members and which campaigns bring in new people, so you can invest in what works instead of guessing.
