Pétale Tea - Singapore's Premier Blooming Flower Tea Specialist

Pétale Tea is a Singapore brand that sells hand-sewn blooming flower teas - tea balls that open into a flower when steeped. The brand calls itself Singapore's first blooming flower tea specialist, with a range of over thirty blends built on Maofeng green tea and organic flowers such as jasmine, osmanthus, rose, lavender and marigold. Alongside loose and tinned teas it offers teaware, gift sets and hampers, a custom blend builder, corporate gifting, wholesale supply and tea workshops, and it sells both online and through a network of retail stockists across Singapore.
A speciality food and gifting brand like this has to do several jobs on one website. It has to tell the product story - why a blooming tea is different and worth more than a regular teabag - because the appeal is visual and emotional, not just functional. It has to make gifting easy, since much of the demand is people buying for someone else or for corporate occasions, which means clear gift sets, hampers and a way for companies to enquire. And it has to turn all of that browsing into a smooth checkout, with the right currency, a working cart and an easy way to ask a question before buying. Pétale Tea needed an online store that carried the premium, giftable feel of the product while handling shopping, customisation and corporate enquiries in one place.
How we helped
We built and run the Pétale Tea online store: a branded storefront where the full range is organised into shoppable collections - blooming tea tins, wellness teas, everyday teas and teaware - and can also be browsed by occasion and mood, such as Celebration, Relaxation, Energy and Romance, so visitors can find a tea by the feeling they are shopping for. Each product gets room to tell its story, led by the Classic Storytelling collection where every blend is named after a virtue and shown with its own description. The site includes a 'Create Your Own Blend' builder for custom orders, dedicated gift set and hamper sections, and a full corporate area covering corporate gifts, care and festive hampers and wholesale supply, each with an enquiry path. Shopping is handled end to end with a cart, multi-currency pricing in Singapore dollars, contact and enquiry forms, and a one-tap WhatsApp button for quick questions. Brand and trust elements - the sustainability commitments, the Daughters of Tomorrow giving partnership, the stockist list and a store locator - are woven through so the premium positioning stays consistent from the first scroll to checkout.
What other businesses can take from this:
- If your product's appeal is visual or experiential, lead with the story and the demonstration - show what makes it different before you show the price.
- Let people shop the way they actually think. Offering browse-by-occasion and mood alongside standard product categories helps gift buyers who don't yet know which item they want.
- Treat gifting and corporate buyers as a distinct journey. Clear gift sets, hampers and a simple enquiry path capture higher-value orders that a normal product grid would miss.
- Make it easy to ask before buying. A visible WhatsApp button and enquiry forms lower the friction for considered or custom purchases.
- Use trust and values as part of the storefront, not an afterthought. Sustainability, certifications and a giving-back partnership reinforce a premium price when they're shown alongside the products.
