BGA Inclusive Fitness

BGA Inclusive Fitness (Bridging Gap Advocacy) is a gym and fitness centre in Bishan, Singapore, founded by co-founders John and Jan. It is an inclusive, community-focused gym built around one idea: that fitness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. Alongside members of the general public, the gym specifically welcomes and supports persons with special needs, running on a membership and sponsorship model designed to give the special-needs population equal access to fitness training in a safe, supportive environment. The space is open 24/7, located near Bishan Park 1, and equipped with modern machines and a friendly team.

An inclusive-fitness business has a harder job than a typical gym. Before anyone signs up, the website has to do several things at once: explain that this is a genuinely welcoming space and not just a standard gym with a label, communicate a social mission in a way that feels credible rather than performative, and reassure two very different audiences - everyday fitness-goers and the families and caregivers of people with special needs - that they each belong here. It then has to make the practical path obvious: what membership costs (including subsidised and family options), how to book a trial or orientation, and how to actually get through the door once you join. If any of that is unclear, a hesitant first-time visitor simply never makes the enquiry.

How we helped

We designed and built the BGA Inclusive Fitness website as a clear, trust-building front door for the gym. The home page leads with the "Find Your Strength" message and immediately frames the space as inclusive - dedicated panels spell out that it is a welcoming community, open to everyone from beginners to enthusiasts, well-equipped, and ready to receive new members. A dedicated Social Mission page lays out the founders' story, mission, vision, and values (Respect, Empowerment, Integrity, Collaboration) so visitors understand the why behind the gym, while a facilities gallery and real member reviews provide proof. The Membership Rates page presents every option plainly - public, subsidised rates for persons with special needs, family bundles, corporate plans, and per-entry passes - with the pause policy and recurring-billing terms stated up front. We connected the site to the tools the gym actually runs on: Glofox for membership sign-up and class/tour bookings, and Kisi for 24/7 door access, with step-by-step app instructions. Direct WhatsApp links to the team and clear sign-up calls to action run throughout so enquiries reach the right person quickly.

What other businesses can take from this:

  • If you serve more than one audience, say so explicitly - separate, clearly labelled sections let each visitor find themselves instead of guessing whether the offer is for them.
  • A social mission only builds trust when it is concrete: founders' names, real values, member reviews, and photos do more than a slogan.
  • Put pricing, subsidies, and recurring-billing terms in plain view - transparency removes the hesitation that quietly kills sign-ups.
  • Meet people on the channel they already use; for a local business, a direct WhatsApp link often converts better than a contact form.
  • Wire the website to the tools you actually operate on (sign-up, booking, access) so a visitor can go from interested to enrolled without leaving the journey.
